The metabolically stable protein kinase A inhibitor
Rp-cAMPS (Cat. No. A 002) immobilized on agarose by an aminohexylamino spacer attached to position 8 of the ligand. Free Rp-cAMPS binds to the protein kinase A holoenzyme but prevents dissociation of catalytic and regulatory subunits. In addition it is not hydrolized by mammalian phosphodiesterases. The gel can be used for affinity chromatography of various cyclic nucleotide-responsive proteins such as protein kinase A (presumably as its holoenzyme), phosphodiesterases and others. This ligand is offered with a shorter spacer (
Rp-8-AEA-cAMPS-Agarose, Cat. No. A 007) as well. Detailed technical information available. References: Margarucci et al.,

Normally all affinity gels are supplied in pre-packed columns. The free beads without a column are available upon request.
